Everything else has been tried on this field and iOS Safari still offers a home address: autocomplete=one-time-code, a real name in the markup, autocorrect/autocapitalize/ spellcheck off, the form's own autocomplete=off, readonly-until-touched, and a rendered street-address trap field ahead of it. The one signal left untouched is the placeholder, and "Go to a country, city or neighborhood" is the most address-like thing about the whole control. Betsy: "we should test change the placeholder to see if it is that... before deciding how to adjust that Go text." So: on MOBILE ONLY, the placeholder becomes a string no heuristic can want. If the AutoFill bar goes away, the placeholder is the trigger and the fix is to keep the real wording but stop it being an ATTRIBUTE - draw it as an overlaid span, which Safari cannot read.
