Will I save money living in Repulse Bay?

Answer this Question

We asked expats if they save money living in Repulse Bay. They said...

"It's unlikely that you would save money living in Repulse Bay compared to the United States. Repulse Bay is one of the most expensive areas in Hong Kong, known for its luxury residential properties. The cost of living, including rent, groceries, dining, and transportation, tends to be higher in Hong Kong than in many parts of the United States. However, the exact difference would depend on the specific cities you're comparing. For example, living in Repulse Bay might be more comparable to living in a high-cost U.S. city like New York or San Francisco. Additionally, Hong Kong has a higher population density, which can lead to higher prices for less space. Therefore, unless you're moving from a particularly expensive area in the U.S., you're unlikely to save money by moving to Repulse Bay," wrote a member who made the move to Repulse Bay, Hong Kong.
