As a foreigner living in Austin, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Austin if they have access to public healthcare in Austin. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"Yes, as a foreigner living in Austin, you will have access to public healthcare. The public healthcare system in Austin is provided by the Central Health organization, which is a public healthcare district that serves Travis County. Central Health provides a variety of services, including primary care, mental health services, and specialty care. They also offer a variety of programs to help those in need, such as the Health Care for the Homeless program and the Women's Health Program. Central Health also works with local hospitals and clinics to provide quality care to those in need," wrote a member who made the move to Austin, the United States.
