English clubs?

Hi, I'm a recently arrived English-speaking South African in Algiers on a 3 month contract.
1) Can anybody advise whether there is a club of some sorts where I can meet and speak to people in English whilst downing a few beers and playing pool? In EgyptAlexandria,they had the Portuguese club for example.
2) I also play rythym guitar and sing for a rock band back home. Anything similar over here? I miss not hearing live music.
Any assistance would be welcome.
