Moving to Algeria

I will be moving to algeria in the next month. My husband got a job there. I have many concerns regarding life in algeria, and I hope that you can kindly address them:
1. quality of life: any good restaurants? malls? cinemas?
2. job opporutunities? I speak fluent Arabic and English, and I am okay in French. Do i need an iqama to apply for a job? and how long does an iqama need to be processed?
3. safe places to live in? my husband has been searching for houses in Dar al Bayda, Kobba, and a neighborhood next to airport in algiers
4. quality of food
5. quality of life
