Passive Income - Living in Bermuda

I'd like to know if it's possible to live in Bermuda full time if I have a passive income from the states that would allow this. Not just 3-6 months but full time, I don't see any way to become a permanent resident through the traditional methods of having relatives or other means. I see getting a work permit, but I don't want to work or get a job just so I can live there when I don't have to. Anyone know if this is possible?
