considering move to Kelowna

Hi all, my husband is Canadian by birth but a US resident, as am I. We are going to Kelowna in April to stay a few weeks and feel whether it might be a good move for us to take advantage of his Canadian citizenship and make a permanent move. My concerns mostly are 1) smoke in the summer, and 2) cost of living.
