Relocating to Medellin

Hello everyone. My husband and I are planning a trip to Medellin at the end of February to check things out as we plan to relocate early 2013. Will it be possible for us to meet with other 'gringos" for a drink or something and exchange information? We plan to be there February 24-March 2 and will be staying at Estelar Apartamentos in El Poblado.
