SOAT vs Full Coverage Auto Insurance

Purchasing a new car in Colombia. My wife shows me that SOAT is on the window sticker and comes with the car.

If I'm not mistaken SOAT is just like Liability insurance, only protects others property in an accident. Won't pay for my car damages... Correct?
