Soc Sec Doc to Apostille

Sorry if this question is already out there. I didn't see it in a quick browse of subjects.

I am looking to get a version of my Social Security benefit letter to send to the State Department to be apostilled..

Is the version you print from the SSA website sufficient ?

I have read that it is not longer possible to to get one with an actual signature. That is what I've seen on various boards, so don't take that last statement as the truth.

I thought asking straight out to this group might get an answer from someone who recently did it.
