Planning a move to Cyprus

Hi there, just wondering if people could give me advice on working and buying a property in Cyprus. I've had 20 years experience in the building trade as a Stonemason and a plasterer, and i am hoping to use the funds from my property in Guernsey to buy in Cyprus. Is there anything i need to do prior to moving to the country? Any advice/feed back is greatly appreciated.
