Seeking another Country to call home

Hello all, I'm originally from Europe & grew up in America. I've been searching for a different Country to call home before I get too old. I somehow grew very unhappy in America and have temporarily relocated to the Caribbean where I don't fit in - and I now have a 'work-permit' issue here prohibiting me legally working for the next 18 months (jeeez!). I need to get out of this high-crime place too.

Anyway, growing up in the EU I've known that Denmark still has family/social values. Is this still so?

Is Denmark possibly one of the few countries left where it is generally easy for a foreigner to patriate to, live and work in (& without all the political red-tape hassles as the rest of the modern world now)? Is Denmark one of those areas that if you're not originally from there - a foreigner will hardly fit in (even considering I grew up in France & Germany long ago)? I'm just a regular God-fearing working guy whose been trying to find life's joys somewhere in the world. I may not have a ton of money to move with but I'm very ambitious, adventurist, down-to-earth & seeking similar friends. For a living I do Air Conditioning (design/build), heating, electrical, some construction, & a few other related services and I'm always willing to learn new things as required. Any dialog from anyone is GREATLY appreciated as I really need to make other plans quickly.

I'm requesting any replies with any advice, including advise on other websites also suitable for this disussion.

Thank you and kind regards, (volunteer_samaritan(at)live(dot)com)

{please note (for those 'internet salesmen'): DO NOT reply with ANY kind of sales pitch for services/products} ~Thank you
