Any Scots in Cairo?

Hiya all!
Have recently moved here to Cairo. Love socialising but have found this city has it's limits fer women who are not always accompanied by their partner!!
I have my paws in several voluntary jobs and even an Arabic class which has proven useful..esp on the metro..lol!
Went to TGIs on the Corniche the other day fer a wee sundowner(you know how us Scots like the nectar!) but did feel like I was frowned upon by the 2 women waitresses!
Anyway,any advise or info re meet up groups would be helpful as am starting to get bored of sitting fer hours in coffee shops with my local friends!
