Poll: Shipping Cost for UR Auto

Can you guys post what it cost you to ship your car from the US to Germany? Post the state you shipped from and possibly the port...

I shipped a new BMW from Germany to Texas in 1999 for $1000 roll on/off. (not including import tax nor marine insurance). I picked up at port

Now my company got a qoute for a "roll on/off" shipment from US - Germany for $3500 !!! This includes pickup at home and delivery at german home and marine insurance.

WHY IS THIS SO HIGH???
