Ok...so I am late. Actually I didn't know about this celebration in Aachen until today. I'm sure there's celebrations all over Germany, we've been here for 2 years and haven't attended one yet. This one is in Bad Aachen (NRW) in Kurpark Monheimsallee am Spielcasino. I don't have a contact name or number, it was a flyer that a friend of my husband got on his car. He was there last year and said there were a lot of Americans there and a great party. Anyone else have a favorite 4th of July event here in Germany? The first year here I made a big 4th bbq and invited my husband's family. They didn't know how to react....they were astonished at the paper plates and my sister in law ended up setting the formal table. So much for bbq sauce dripping down your chin while you munch on a leg of chicken. It didn't end up the way I expected or intended and so I've decided that it's better to celebrate it independent of the family!
