bringing dog to Berlin

I am an American, currently in the US, but will be moving to Berlin in August. We are hoping to bring our dog with us. He is a large Rhodesian Ridgeback, 100 pounds. Anyone have experience with transporting a dog from US to Germany? Any advice? Also, anyone in Berlin who has a dog and has opinions about dog kennels there?
