Since Hamburg gives full reciprocity to all US driver's licenses irregardless of the state of issue, I am in dire need of estabishing a second residence in Hamburg in order to gt a German driver's license without having to go through the Fahrschule and take both the written and driving tests, the first aid course and an eye exam, as NY State has NO reciprocity with Germany at all. What I am seeking is a Mietvortrag to rent a room ON PAPER ONLY so I can file an Anmeldung and then go to the Führerscheinstelle and get a German DL. I am willing to pay a small fee in cash (of course) When I actually come up there, I will stay in Kiel with my friend's mother and take the train to Hamburg, so this will not in any way be a burden on the individual giving me the Mietvortrag.
