Okay this might sound like a stupid question but here goes. When we were getting ready to move to germany (over 2 1/2 years ago) I called Kitchen-Aid and asked them if it would be okay to use a transformer on my mixer and they said there was a large chance of problems developing in the motor if I did this. Needless to say I left it. Recently I was talking to my mother-in-law and she told me that she had an american friend that brought her kitchen-aid mixer over and never had a problem with it using a transformer. Now I don't want to make my mother-in-law sound like a flake (some of the stories I have heard are a bit odd to say the least.) but is there anyone out there who has brought thier kitchen-aid mixer from the states to germany and if so could you please let me know your experiences? I am flying to the states in about a week and a half and if it is really okay then I want to bring it back with me. Thanks for your help in advance.
