Taxes in Germany

Hello,

My company and I are in the midst of negotiating a temporary relocation to Germany (in Monchegladbach, which is near Dusseldorf)

Anyway, I wanted to know what the tax situation was. The proposed arrangement would have me being paid through the US company, but based on Euro. My salary, which is being negotiated, will be 60,000-80,000 Euro. I will be provided a housing allowance, a relocation allowance, a car, and 4 round trips to and from the US by the company in question.

My question is this: Will I have to pay tax on each of the above? (salary, housing allowance, relocation allowance, car, round trip flights to/from the US?) If so, what is the applicable tax rate for someone in the income range listed?

This information is really needed by me, since I'm trying to calculate the financial impact of this temporary assignment, so any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Alex
