Questions about moving to Germany.

My wife and I are considering a move to Germany. We're currently interested in the Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, or Munich areas. We're both in the advertising business. My wife is a Artbuyer, and I am Commercial Photographer. I have lived all my life in the US but have had and kept my British Citizenship. My wife is born and raised in the US and would love to live abroad. Since I am an EU citizen will my wife acquire the same privileges as I do? Will I have to relinquish my permanent residency card in the US if I move to Germany? Lastly, is any one of these cities that I have mentioned better for first time expats in the AD business? Any help would be very much appreciated!
