Moving to Leipzig!

Hi! I am looking for some advice - I am planning to move to Germany at the end of the year to be with my girlfriend. I am currently self-employed (and work online so my business is easily movable). A few things I was wondering:
- Part of my work is to do with insurance, and I am trying to find out what the insurance regulations are in Germany so that I can sell insurance? Anyone have any advice?
- Any other information or help with moving to Germany, pitfalls to look out for, etc....
