Hello,
My girlfriend and I have decided to take a break from Britain and move to Berlin for a few months. I am writing to hopefully appeal to your good nature and ask for some help with our move.
I am a 24 year old artist, and she is a 23 year old musician. We don't speak German, although I speak some conversational Spanish. I have a lot of experience working in customer service and travel and in bars, shops etc.
Any answers to my questions would be muchly appreciated?
-How easy is it to get a job in Berlin for non German speakers? (job does not have to be highly paying or professional)
-Are there any useful online resources where I can look for English speaking jobs in Berlin?
-Do I need to apply for work permit or residency? (I am from the UK)
-What is the nightlife and music scene like in Berlin, especially around Mitte?
-Does anybody have any jobs for a hardworking artistic soul such as myself? :-)
Any and all help would be muchly appreciated as we are really looking forward to the move and would like it to go as smoothly as possible.
Thanks,
James
