Hello, we bought a home in Milpas Altas which is about 8 minutes from San Lucas and we do most of our marketing there. We have never had felt unsafe, although I am sure that since Antigua is a very famous tourist destination, it probably would be more safe. As far as banking, groceries, and most anything else needed n San Lucas is very well equipped.
