mumbai and respiratory issues

my husband and i are considering relocating to mumbai for 1-2 year period. We have 4 and 7-year-old girls. I have been very concerned reading about the pollution in Mumbai and I was wondering whether children of recent expats from the West have experienced respiratory problems, including asthma. Also, I would be curious to learn about activities for children there. I read somewhere that Mumbai did not have many parks etc.
