Clothing Choices

Greetings. Thanks to anyone who answers my questions. My son is coming to India during Monsoon season to work on a documentary. The 'prep' company that is advising them is less than helpful in what is best to wear during this time. Being expats ourselves, we came right to the source. He will be outdoors the majority of the work day and would like to use most of his baggage for equipment. What are the best shoes (sandals, hiking, etc) for that time of year and what is the best type of clothing to wear. Again, thanks for all who respond. Be Blessed.
