My wife and I are planning to move to India. We hope to get a 10 year tourist visa and stay 6 months at a time. We are of non-Indian origin and will not be working while there.
We have visited before. We're familiar with the challenges of the country. I have three questions:
1) How do I find an apartment and what documents, etc. are needed to rent one?
2) What is the best way to set up an Indian bank account and keep it supplied with funds from a U.S. bank account?
3) How does healthcare at private medical facilities work for a foreigner? How do international health care insurance policies work and what do they typically cost?
Any advice is appreciated.
