Requirements To Retire in Ireland

My wife and I (from the United States) are very interested in all of the details to see about retirement in Ireland and have questions:
1. What is the minimum income required for residency?
2. What are the requirements to get approved for retirement?
3. What is the list of documents needed for the residency process?
