Gay Life in Italy

Does anyone have any information they can share with me regarding gay life in Italy? My partner and I both currently live in San Francisco. I am an Italian citizen but have not lived there in fifteen years so I'm a bit out of touch. We are thinking about moving to Italy in 6 months to a year and I am starting to do some research, specifically on what gay resources/communities there are in Italy. Any ideas??
