Moving Back to Italy Need place with Internet

I am a grad student (older) moving back to Italy to finish a book and research. I am having a hard time finding a place to rent, at a normal cost with internet access. Why is that can anyone tell me?
It is vital to my work. I am willing to live anywhere Italia. South, north, east or west.

on the expat sites, nothing seems to be available.
I leave in 5 days.
