Need all the Help I can get

20 years ago
Have dreams of living in Italy for extended period of time. Perhaps retire there. Am retiring in 3 months in the U.S. Am a chef and want to go to food heaven-Italy. I am not a rich "ugly American" and really need to adhere to a budget. Can one person, debt free, adult child living in Tokyo, no pets, no other encumbrances with about $2,000.00 a month for living expenses actually live in Italy?
