American Doctors in Italy

I'm currently in the process of applying to US medical schools, and plan to do all my training here in the US. However, I speak Italian and am in love with Italy. I was wondering if anyone had information on how to practice medicine in Italy, and where there are large english speaking populations who might be looking for an american doctor. (I heard Florence has a large american population and would assume Rome does too). I would love love love to relocate permanetly to Italy and am hoping this will not be too difficult with a US MD. Any advice at all is appreciated!
