Dog in Milan?

I am preparing to move to Milan in Jan and am anxious about bringing my pooch (german shorthair pointer). Does anyone have any advice 1.) how dog friendly is Italy/ Milan 2.) are apt rentals dog friendly 3.) are dog walkers and dog kennels common?
