Funding to study abroad

I've been accepted to attend graduate school in Milan, Italy. I cannot get US financial assistance because I am not currently enrolled in a US college/university. Are there any financial assistance given by the Italian government to foreign students? I am applying for the only scholarship competition that the school offers, but I need more options.
