First Prop sales tax <5yr

I bought a property, my first in Italy, 3 years ago.
I understand if one sells within 5 years, a tax must be paid.
Is this the case if one is selling in order to move abroad, not buying another prop in Italy?
If so, how does one calculate the tax due?
