Codice Fiscale Dilemma?

How many have run into problems with the Codice Fiscale being in the maiden name when all other identifying documentation is not? Does it cause a problem when opening a bank acct - such as with Unicredit, purchasing a property, or getting utilities? I've seen a few people state it was a problem. I'm trying to prevent any issue but the US Consulate will not change the one I have or issue me a new one.
