Permesso renewal docs

Does anyone know for our 2nd renewal do we need all the same financial docs? This time we will have an Italian and US tax return and our Italian bank. During our last visit to the Milano Questura they gave us some trouble because we were showing our "income" into our US bank. This year we have put money into our Italian bank but not sure if we need all the backup with investment accounts and Social Security. Any experience on this would be helpful. Thanks all!
