I'm a new member and it's asking me to post a question but also telling me that my answer may be in the forums. I plan on searching and reading as much as I can! In the meantime, my question would be about your personal experiences in coastal Italian areas. I am working on getting my citizenship through descent right now but it will be a few years before we can move there. We'll be in our early 60s, fairly active but not to the point that we need hiking, biking, etc. to be a focus. We'd like to be in a less touristy seaside area where we can walk to the ocean in under 10 minutes. We'd like to be near a train station. We would also like to be near good healthcare facilities. From what I've read so far, it seems that Northern Italy would be a better fit for us, although I do think areas of Sicily and Calabria are gorgeous! I say this because I've read in multiple places that things in the North are better maintained, rules are obeyed more, services run more smoothly. What seaside towns do you recommend that I add to my list to research more? Thanks in advance!
