Looking for areas in Italy with US expats as well as friendly locals. Locals who are patient and helpful while we learn the language. We are also looking to take a trip that offers a longer stay and immersion into the Italian culture with some language classes and exploration of various regions. Our first thoughts are Tuscany, Pugila, Amalfi Coast, Naples.

Anyone who has already settled in Italy who has some ideas for two retirees would be greatly appreciated.
