Bilingual or International schools?

We are planning a move to Italy, likely Lucca or Perugia. We have an 8 year old who doesn't speak Italian. What's better for her, a bilingual school or an international school? In terms of learning Italian, and learning other 8 year old stuff is there a difference? I know the cost can be more for an international school but what else?
