Relocating from UK

Hi, myself and my husband are relocationg to Kingston in April for 3 years as I have accepted a job there. I am trying to find out as much information as possible before we go and would love to get in touch with anyone who can help us.

We provisionally have a house provided from my company in Long Mountain, but I can't find much about this on the internet - is this area ok?

My husband does not have a job yet (he is an electrician) so any suggestions on job agencies/recruitment sites would be great.

We are both in our early 30s with no kids and have a great social life in the UK. Can anyone tell us where the best (and safest!) places to go so we can meet new friends.
