I AM ON MY WAY - info needed

I have been offered a teaching post in Kuwait and would like to know a little more 'off the record'. The school pays relocation and apartmant and a slary of about 20K UK Pounds - is this good for the country?
What are the social attractions fo the place. I have lived in the region before but never been to Kuwait.
Any info greatly appreciated
