CSA Kuwait. How long does employment process take!

I received an offer from CSA for a Force Protection Officer position in Jun. On Jun. 16th '07 I had my phone conference and wrapped up my half of the paper work on July 25th. Now it is Oct. 15th and no word what so ever as to my standing. I have talked to my recruiter approx. 2 weeks ago and he told me that the Army was back logged with records checks.

Does anybody know if this long of a wait is typical? I was under the impression that it would move much faster (45-60 days) from the time that all of my paper work was submitted.

Are there any CSA guru's out there that can give me any insight? Also, any info. about the job from someone who has been there and done that would be great.
