Basic Country Information

Hi. I am an american now living in Colombia. I would like to find an alternative or another place to spend 6 months of the year. A friend highly recommended I check out Morocco. I am thinking that I will visit for a month in August or September, Of course I am somewhat budget minded. I will budget about $2000 a month living expenses. Any recommendations on where I should start my visit and what cities would be a must see. Are there any cities with a more moderate climate in the summer? Not so hot? Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
