I Have Already Started Gathering The Information Required For The D7 Visa. I have Done Police Checks, Passport Photos, NIF Number Address To Stay At. Then We Hit A Problem Regarding Obtaining A Bank Account And I Am Finding It Very Difficult On Getting Any type Of Answer On What I Need To Do. I Realise We Need To Show A Passive Income But As We Only Retired In January 2025 We Don't Have Pensions Set Up Yet. I Receive A Small Amount A Month From Lloyds Bank As A Pension. Is Bitcoin Classed As A Passive Do We Need To Set Up A Private Pension This Is A Big Stumbling Block At The Moment. Also When It Says That We Need To Show A Return Flight Can It Be To Anywhere. As We Would Not Return To Australia But To England. I Have Contacted Our Local Portuguese Consulate And The One In Sydney But The Answers They Provide Are Not That Straight Forward And Seem To Evade The Questions I'm Asking.
