Getting around

23 years ago
I've read alot of interesting articles and postings about Panama; and want to spend some time there this winter, to see for myself.
I could use some advice on getting around....if I fly into Panama City and want to visit Boquet, David, Bocas, etc... should I just rent a car and drive from place to place? Take a bus? Fly? What are good hotels (not too expensive but clean, quiet and well located)?
