Moving to Panama Thirty something

Myself and my partner are planning to move to Panama from Ireland in July/August...we have two children age 7 and 9 and are hoping to move to the Bocas area. Is anybody living in that area with children of simillar age? Is it a suitable place to move with children...?
We have been living in Northern Cyprus for a few years and found a lot of corruption is this the case in Panama..
