The Azuero

There are many locations in the Azuero, but our "anchor" location is Pedasi. The town has B&B's, small hotels, etc. On our last stay we chose a quiet place just across from Venao Beach called Eco Venao. Rustic, quiet, inexpensive, easy walk to the surf beach. Find more places in the area at:
bigtravelweb.com. Message to Michelita, yes, we found thefts and break-ins on the rise in the area you mentioned. Not so here in the Azuero although it could happen down the line I suppose. The people are friendly, love to surf and fish, and the area is still unspoiled. BTW, Venao Beach is THE surf beach! It's great just to sit and sip and watch the surfers at a new restaurant-without-walls that seems to be a social scene just down the road from Eco Venao.
