Hola todos!
After moving here 5 years ago and going through everything to relocate, start a business and now, raise a family, we have collected a few helpful hints for us and others that may just put themselves in a similar situation.
The first thing to recognize is that relocating is a big step and you will need patience, research and a lot of effort.
Second thing that we found necessary - respect for the country you are moving to. This means the people, the language, the customs and the lifestyle. If you want the same experience, you might want to look elsewhere or rethink your options. This is a serious decision.
Also, get to know people living here and ask them everything.
Finally, get legal help. This is important when purchasing land and for most decisions that may be easier with a local legal expert.
Best, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
A few websites we recommend for research:
expat-blog.com
blog.panamatotal.com
The Panama Report
and of course Panama's ministry websites (if you are a savvy Spanish reader, these will do just fine.)
Also, we write a blog that includes many helpful hints at our website - panamacoastproperty.com/discover-azuero
