Have you people noticed that there's this disconnect between PANAMA and the rest of SOUTH AMERICA?
That getting to the R.P. is no problem with TicaBus, but beyond Panama City & Colon one is virtually at a dead-end near the Darien Gap:
That there's simply no reliable transport overland at all;
That air-fare is prohibitively expensive with all sorts of documentary "strings" attached;
That passage via ferry-boat is a mystery to all but the well-connected:
That finding the most cost-effective way to move between PANAMA and SOUTH AMERICA can be any seasoned ex-pat's weakest link in terms of knowledge.
Sin embargo, some just "bite the bullet" and pay a fortune to make such a crossing.
I refuse to, though!
I'm counting on this forum to give me the "straight dope" about transport to ECUADOR, COLOMBIA or VENEZUELA from PANAMA.
