Leaving US for Panama in July! Questions!

Hello,

My mother's family is Panamanian, and in an effort to reconnect with that side, I am visiting/moving to Panama this summer. I am 90% sure I'll be at Habla Ya Spanish school in Boquete, and will then be seeking a job teaching English.

I'm wondering about the cost of living. I'm so low-maintenance, so I'm curious what I can expect to pay to rent a room or an apartment in Panama. Once I leave Boquete, my family lives in Rainbow City, but I may elect to live elsewhere.

What ranges can I look forward to for renting a room or small, humble apartment?

I have a few leads on finding English teaching jobs, but does anyone have an other info??

Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Alex
